The problem
Lakhs of families have money waiting for them. They just do not know it.
Nobody knew
One family member held an FD, an LIC policy, a PF account or old shares. Nobody else knew about them.
Too many places
Banks, insurance, PF, shares and the post office each have their own website, mostly in English.
Too confusing
Nominee or legal heir? Which certificate? Which form? Every office asks for something different, and agents charge 5 to 15 percent to help.
It keeps happening
Accounts without a nominee turn into new unclaimed money every year.
The people who lose the most: women managing on their own, elderly parents and families in small towns and villages. The Government started the Aapki Poonji, Aapka Adhikar campaign to fix this.
A story many families know
Sunita, 58, Nashik
When she had to take over the family finances from her husband Ramesh, she found a tin box of old papers: a passbook, an LIC bond and a share certificate.
She did not know what they were worth, where to go, or which form to fill. An agent offered to help, for a share of the money.
Example user story. Her documents are made up. You can follow her through the whole product.
How it works
Take a photo. Get your family's money back.
1. Find
Photograph old papers or upload the tax statement (AIS). Virasat lists every place your family may have money.
2. Claim
Virasat picks the right route, lists the documents and fills the forms for you.
3. Track
Every claim has a status and reminders. If it is stuck, Virasat helps you escalate.
4. Prevent
The Parivaar Vault keeps a family record and checks nominees, so your children never have to search.
The idea nobody else has built
One tax statement finds accounts the family never knew existed
Every other service asks the family to already know where the money is. That is the whole problem: the account they cannot find is the one nobody remembered.
A legal heir can request the account holder's from the Income Tax Department. It lists interest from every bank and dividends from every company that ever paid them. Virasat reads that one PDF and turns it into a map of institutions to claim from, even when the family has no papers at all.
A document the family can already get, used as a search index for their own money. No portal does this.
- 1One PDFThe heir requests the AIS. Free, and already their right.
- 2Read by codeTables parsed by pdf-parse, not by a model. Deterministic, and it costs nothing.
- 3Payers matchedEach payer name is matched to an institution by rules.
- 4A map of claimsEvery bank, insurer and company that owes them, with the portal for each.
Try it
Try it with Sunita's papers. No sign up.

LIC policy bond (photo)
Share certificate (photo)- plus Ramesh's tax statement (AIS)
Sample data. Nothing is sent anywhere.
Press the button and Virasat will list every place the family has money.
Trust
You can read the argument the AI had about your case.
The Supporter argues the route is right. The Challenger looks for what could go wrong. The Referee decides and explains.
Verdict
Nominee route. Proceed, but carry an ID that matches the nominee name exactly.
Why
- A nominee is named and the claimant is that person.
- The amount is below the threshold, so no court certificate is needed.
- Rule SBI_NOMINEE_V1 applies.
Risks to watch
- Nominee name spelling on the passbook may differ from the ID card.
- The branch must confirm the nomination is on file.
Impact
Even a small share of ₹1.84 lakh crore changes lives
What reaches families, worked from the bottom up
| If | Families a year | Back to families | Agent fees avoided | AI cost |

| One in five centres20 percent of centres nationally | 12,00,000 | ₹2,786 crore | ₹279 crore | ₹4.4 crore |

- If it stops 5 percent₹500 crore a year
- If it stops 10 percent₹1,000 crore a year

FAQ
Questions people ask
Is Virasat free?
Yes, for families. Institutions pay to use it inside their own systems.
Do I need to know what accounts my family had?
No. A photo of any old paper, or the tax statement (AIS), is enough to start.
Do you log in to my bank?
Never. You log in yourself. Virasat guides you step by step and fills the paperwork.
What is a nominee?
A person named on an account or policy to receive the money. It is not the same as a legal heir, who is a family member entitled by law.
What if there is no nominee?
Virasat shows the legal heir route and the documents needed. For smaller amounts no court is needed.
Which languages does it support?
English and Hindi today, by text and voice. More Indian languages are next.
Is my data safe?
Your papers stay in your browser. They are sent for AI reading only when you press the button, and are not stored on our servers. One button deletes everything.
What if the AI makes a mistake?
The claim rules are fixed and tested. The AI only reads, explains and translates. Virasat challenges its own guidance before you act, every result shows its confidence and reasons, and you always review before acting.
Can I use it without a smartphone?
Yes, through a Common Service Centre or a helper who runs Virasat for you.
How is this different from the government portals?
Portals let you search one place at a time if you know what to look for. Virasat finds everything, tells you exactly where to search, and prepares the forms.
